New! Version 1.5a update (309 KB) (For both versions)
The Parish Registry System (PRS) is an MS-Windows-based program designed to make church and parish record-keeping easier. It consists of six registers: Families, Groups, Planned Giving, Baptisms, Weddings and Other Lists, each of which can contain as many records as you like.
If you would like a copy of the program, you can download it. The installation file is password protected, so just email me, Graham Wilson,
and I'll send you the password by return e-mail.
Two language versions are available: US and International English.
If you find the program useful and decide to keep using it, I'd ask you to please consider sending a donation of $50 to the Society of Jesus (Address and registration details are included in the "readme" file). Although this donation isn't necessary for you to use the program, it will help us cover some of the expenses incurred in its production and will be greatly appreciated.
Coming soon: Pastor 2 (the Parish Registry System version 2.0)
Note that PRS 1.5 is fully Year 2000-compliant. (In fact the program can handle dates between January 1, 9999 BC to December 31, 9999 AD)
The program has the following hardware and software requirements:
Microprocessor: 80386 or higher (486 50MHz or better recommended).
RAM: 6MB (8MB recommended). Performance improves with more memory.
Hard disk: A hard disk is required. You need at least 14MB of free disk space to use the PRS effectively.
Video monitor: EGA or higher. VGA or Super VGA recommended. CGA video cards are not supported.
Microsoft Windows: Version 3.1 or later (including Windows 95 / 98 / Me / NT / XP).
Mouse: Although not required, a mouse is recommended.
Network: Although you can install PRS on a network, this version of PRS is not designed for multi-user access.
